We are in Central Italy, in the Marche region. Here, along the coast of the Adriatic Sea, there is one of the most beautiful and suitable vine growing areas of Italy: the Conero. Among the most important wineries, we have the Winery Conte Leopardi (www.conteleopardi.com), which is an historical name, linked to the territory and tradition, handed down from generation to generation in a family that has been producing wine for over 700 years. Today Piervittorio Leopardi is the owner of a modern company, able to deal with international markets with a production of highly appreciated wines, which are in step with the times and with the evolution of consumer taste. The winery cultivates 200 hectares ettari di cui 45 hectares of vineyards, from which it obtains high quality wines from the Montepulciano, Verdicchio, Sauvignon, Lacrima, Passerina, Pecorino vines. The most important wines are Conero DOCG Riserva PIGMENTO, Rosso Conero DOC CASIRANO, VILLA MARINA and FRUCTUS, LACRIMA of Morro d'Alba, white wines of the DOC Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi, such as CASTELVERDE, Sauvignon IGT CALCARE and BIANCO del COPPO. All these wines are highly appreciated for their great elegance, balance, fruity aromas and pleasantness.
