Bright ruby-red. Musky aromas of red currant, raspberry and licorice, complicated by hints of smoked meat and mocha. Rich, full and broad, but harmonious acidity nicely frames the concentrated flavors of balckberry, licorice and dark chocolate. Finishes with ripe, mouth-coating tannins and noteworthy persistence. A very good showing for this Brunello Riserva.

Rather brash and spicy oak aromas sit fresh over ripe dark cherries and orange peel. On the palate, there are very fluid, smooth and supple tannins in a velvety style. Has lengh and plushness. A really terrific wine. Try from 2020
