Fiammetta Inga moved to Podere Marella in 1974 and turned to organic winemaking and farming shortly thereafter. The vineyards, cellar and country house are now managed by her son Cosimo. Located at the foot of the rolling Umbrian hills on the Western banks of Lake Trasimeno, the estate is surrounded by mature oak woodland, elds, hedges and thickets. From its vineyard - extending over 22 acres - red and white Umbria IGT and Trasimeno DOC wines are produced. Organic farming techniques and respect for the local ora and fauna have preserved the wilderness, making its territory one of the most beautiful natural oases in the area. The 18th century country house - with pool and tennis court - is available for holiday rentals and special events.
