Due to its hilly position, Palazzo Vecchio has a 360 degree view of a landscape of vaunted beauty and has a unique environmental condition, thanks also to its height, 354 meters, and to the light winds that caress the grapes, keeping them perfectly healthy.
The land is partly exposed to the south, a rather particular condition for the vineyards of Montepulciano; the calibrated mix of new and old vines, the "del Bosco" one is about seventy years old, but also the hand-working, the targeted pruning, and the natural fertilization of the land are part of the conditions of a productive "system" that have quality as the final goal.
The wine production is accompanied by wine tourism activities, such as the organization of short tours along the vineyards and inside the cellar, stops for tastings accompanied by platters of cheeses and cured meats; in addition, the possibility of lunches or dinners, to be booked or directly at Palazzo Vecchio, in the finely restored old manger; or at the Dogana, the company wine shop, with a mix of modern design in the structure and the vintage of its interior.
