Nobile Riserva 2015 D.O.C.G 2015

Type: Red

Great red wine. It takes its name from Montepulciano, a Renaissance city in the province of Siena that from the top of a hill dominates the wide and verdant Valdichiana. The name "Nobile" seems to derive not only from its intrinsic qualities of finesse and elegance, but also from the fact that in the past the production of this wine was particularly taken care of by the noble families of the city.
Ruby red tending to garnet, brilliant.
Ethereal, characteristic, extraordinarily elegant, with a slight hint of violet and precious wood.
Dry, sapid, harmonious, velvety with complex aromas ranging from exotic fruit to balsamic, very elegant, highly noble fabric.

Vines 30% Canaiolo Nero, 70% Prugnolo Gentile (Sangiovese Grosso)
Location Greve in Chianti (FI)
Climate Coming from our vineyards located in splendid locations, exposed mainly south south-east with a slight slope and high sun-exposure.
Vinification Fermentation with maceration of the skins in the must for a period of 10-15 days at a temperature constantly maintained at 25-30 ° C. Frequent pumping over, carried out by the cellar staff with the help of special pumps with the utmost respect for the solid parts (marc and grape seeds).
Aging Place for 2 years in oval Slavonian oak barrels with a capacity of 5,500 liters and in 225 liter French oak barrels, in a cellar at room temperature. In bottles for 6 months minimum. Marketing, however, always begins one year later than the terms established by the production disciplinary.
