Viola Magnum Vino Nobile 2013 2013

Vino Nobile di Montepulciano
“Every wine of Montepulciano is King”, wrote the poet and scientist Francesco Redi. It is the royalty, the nobility and the elegance which are the distinctive traits of the history and the reality of the success of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, suitable for the most refined palates and appreciated by enthusiast all over the world.
The Vino Nobile di Montepulciano ‘Viola’ is the flagship of the Priorino Cellar, produced with 100% Sangiovese grapes, harvested and selected by hand. Its processing is studied in every detail to guarantee the quality of the product: the grapes are carefully selected both in the vineyard and on the sorting table, then left to ferment in French and Slavonian oak vats. The wine, once the lees are removed is then put into 5hl French oak tonneaux barrels, specially produced from a study by the historical French coopers, where it ages for 24 months and is subsequently bottled.
The nose presents an intense and deep characteristic of bitter aromas, black berry and undergrowth with a floral note of rosehip and violet, with net menthol and eucalyptus and balsamic sensations. It has a taut, crispy, dense and sweet taste that is amplified by its persistence; the after taste has rich nuances, from chocolate to mint, to toasted almonds, and a finish of caramel to rhubarb with a light toasting.
